What is infertility?
Infertility is defined as one year of unsuccessful conception for women under 35, and this declines to six months of unsuccessful conception for women over 35. It’s also recommended for women with irregular menstrual cycles, which can indicate ovulation issues, to seek evaluation promptly.
Infertility can be attributed to various factors, with roughly 30% stemming from female factors, 30% from male factors, 30% from a combination, and 10% remaining unexplained. Despite the challenges, effective treatments are available, offering hope to many.
When To Consult A Fertility Specialist
- You are under 35 and have not conceived after one year of trying.
- You are over 35 and have not conceived after six months of trying.
